Hi, I’m Abigail, the owner of Grey Bruce Pet & House Sitting. I have nine years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and small or exotic pets of different ages, personalities, and care needs.
I understand that leaving your pets and home in someone else’s care can feel stressful. My approach is dependable, attentive and built around maintaining your pet’s familiar routine. I carefully follow your instructions, monitor behaviour, appetite, comfort, wellbeing and provide regular updates so you can feel confident while you’re away.
My experience includes caring for puppies, seniors, anxious animals, pets with vision or hearing impairments and animals requiring oral medication, insulin injections, allergy care and special feeding routines. I also look after plants, mail, packages and everyday household needs while you're away.
I provide in-home pet and house-sitting services throughout Grey Bruce and beyond. As a lifelong animal lover I know how important it is to find someone who treats your pets with patience, respect and care.
I offer a complimentary meet-and-greet before first-time bookings so we can review your pet’s routine, discuss their needs and make sure everyone feels comfortable.
Drop-In Visits
Scheduled visits for pets who need care and attention without an overnight stay. Drop-ins can include feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, litter care, medication, walks, playtime, companionship and a general check of your pet’s comfort and wellbeing.
In-Home Pet & House Sitting
Dependable overnight care for dogs, cats, small pets and exotic animals in the comfort of their own home. I maintain their usual feeding, walking, medication and bedtime and routines while also taking care of your home.
Services
Individual walks tailored to your dog’s energy level, routine and needs. Walks provide exercise, enrichment, fresh air, and one-on-one attention, with an update afterward so you know how everything went.

Every animal is unique. I tailor care to your pet’s personality, comfort level, medical needs, and established routine This includes support for senior pets, anxious animals, pets with special diets, medications and other individualized care requirements.
Routine-Based Care
I carefully follow your instructions and maintain your pet’s usual feeding, walking, medication, playtime, litter, and bedtime routines. I also monitor their appetite, behaviour, comfort, and overall wellbeing while you're away.
Regular Updates and Communication
You receive photo and message updates daily so you know how your pet is doing and can enjoy your time away with greater peace of mind. I’ll also contact you promptly if I notice anything unusual or have questions about their care.
